Eastview iPhone App FAQ

The Eastview mobile app allows you to create and save Kidsview Check-ins.  This allows you to reuse a checkin without having to go through the process of selecting your students and service times each week.  You can create multiple check-ins ahead of time  and choose the one you need each week depending on which service you attend.

The Eastview app is available in the Apple App Store

1.  Start by tapping the Check-In tab at the bottom of the screen.  Tap the + symbol in the top right corner to create a check-in.
2.  You can add multiple families to each device.  This allows you to create a check-in that consists of students from more than one family.  To add a family, tap the “Add a Family” button.
3.  Each mobile device needs to be authorized for each family that you want to create a check-in for.  Enter the last name and the Kidsview family number for the family you want to check-in.  The Kidsview family number is the 4-digit number that is printed on your child’s label at check-in.  Note that 4 failed attempts to enter the correct combination of last name and family number will result in the device being locked out from further attempts.  If this happens you will receive an error message giving you an unlock code with instructions to show that code to the volunteers at Guest Services (located in the Kidsview areas) so they can unblock your device.
 4.  After entering the correct family last name and number combination your device will be authorized to create check-ins for that family.  This authorization is valid until you remove the family from your device.  You will see a list of all families your device is authorized for.  Each student has buttons which represent each of the three Sunday services.  After selecting  the desired services for each student tap the Save.  You will then need to give this check-in a name which is how it will appear in the list of saved check-ins.
 5.  After saving a check-in the app will retrieve a QR Code from the server.  Tapping anywhere on the screen will dismiss the code.  You will then see a list of all saved check-ins.  Tapping any saved check-in will present the QR Code for that checkin.  There are mobile check-in stations in both the upper and lower level of Kidsview.  These stations have a scanner and a label printer.  Select the saved check-in you want to use and present the QR Code under the scanner.  When the scanner successfully reads the QR Code you will see the light on top of the scanner turn green and there will be an audible beep.  After a short pause the student and parent labels for each student in that check-in will automatically be printed.  Thank you for using the Eastview mobile check-in.
