Eastview no longer has a Counseling Center. Despite this, we desire to connect people with the resources they need for emotional, mental, and spiritual health. If you need Professional counseling services and you don’t know where to start, please contact Sara Thompson (see below) for a referral and direction.
Carrie Bussmann, MA, LCPC is now in private practice www.truthinlove415.vpweb.com, and she can be reached at 309-585-0241 or truthinlove415@yahoo.com.
Pre-marital counseling services are still available. If you plan to marry at Eastview, please call Julie Probst at 451-5024 for wedding coordination, otherwise, for pre-marital counseling only, contact Sara Thompson.

Sara E. Thompson, MA, LCPC
I have practiced professional counseling at Eastview since 2003 and have directed our counseling center since May of 2007. I’m a graduate of Lincoln Christian Seminary where I received a Master’s degree in Counseling (2002). I enjoy working with older adolescents, adults, and couples, and I am particularly passionate about helping individuals recognize and change unhelpful patterns of relating. I believe that significant change in our lives comes from a secure understanding of both the truth and grace God gives us through Jesus. My approach focuses on building a safe and caring client-therapist relationship in which honest reflection allows for healing to take place. I consider it an honor to be a part of client’s journey to healing. I also direct the Marriage Ministry of Eastview whose desire is to honor God while providing couples a variety of opportunities to grow in their marriage. My husband Kevin and I have been married since 1999.
