Big Kidsview 2nd-5th Grade

Big Kidsview is a high-energy mix of worship, teaching, interaction, small groups and celebration for 2nd to 5th graders. Each week we explore themes and Bible stories that teach us important lessons about God and ourselves with practical application points that impact the way we live.

Big Kidsview Worship
Worship is designed for second through fifth grade students. Kids begin their worship experience with their small groups, usually with an interactive theme builder to present the “Big Idea” for the day. They continue by joining together for an age-appropriate worship service, designed to reinforce our Big Idea. Students sing high-energy worship songs, memorize Scripture, and participate in interactive Bible teaching and communion.

After our large-group worship time, they break into discussion with their small groups.

We encourage parents to get involved with what your child is studying and to make applications throughout the week. We offer several resources to assist you. Each week you will receive a Take Home sheet with information about what your child is learning, this week’s memory verse, and activities to help your child spend time with God each day.

What your kids are learning in Big Kidsview
The Kidsview curriculum goes through the entire Bible every two years.  We adapt the lessons to be age appropriate for 2nd-5th grade kids, and use a variety of learning styles to reach the diverse kids we have in our care.  Check out what we’re covering now by clicking here.

YOU’LL BE HAPPY TO KNOW!

  • Kids have the opportunity to be part of the action. Kids run sound systems, lead songs, act in skits, dance, make stage props and more to make the morning come alive.
  • Small groups are a great place for your kid to get to know other kids.
  • We use a variety of teaching styles to connect with your child. You never know what to expect…science experiments, active learning, worksheets, DVDs, crafts, discussions and more.
  • Kids have the opportunity to participate in communion once a month in Big Kidsview.
  • Our Tapestry ministry welcomes kids with special needs.  A team of highly experienced volunteers help these children know God in meaningful ways and experience the love of Christ either in the classroom with a buddy or in a structured quiet environment.  For more information on our Tapestry ministry click here.

Just for Fun

Kidsview has an incentives program for kids Pre-K through 5th grade. Tickets will be given out each Sunday for the kids achieving certain objectives that can then be exchanged at the Kidsview Store for rewards for their achievements.

1 ticket for each:
I’m here; I know today’s Big Idea; I showed kindness in Kidsview; I listened and paid attention in Kidsview

2 tickets for each:
I brought a friend; I brought my Bible; I know last week’s memory verse5 tickets for each:
Random Act of Kindness (needs note from parent)

You will notice that there are some objectives that require a note from you when your child meets it. Please help your child keep track of their tickets because we will not be replacing tickets that are lost. Also, a parent will need to accompany the child when visiting the store to make their purchase. The Kidsview Store will be open 15 minutes after each service. Please encourage your child to participate and have fun!

Safety & Security
Attention Parents!  Your child’s safety is important to us, too.  Our check in process ensures child’s ID on nametag and on the person with the authorized pick-up receipt matches.  All teachers and Security Team members have willingly submitted to a background check.  And we have specific emergency and evacuation procedures in place for all Kidsview areas.  Please click here for more information on our security and other policies.
