Your First Visit

11 Ways to be prepared for your First Visit

• When do I show up?
We have 3 identical Sunday services at 8 a.m., 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. We have programming for birth-5th grade during all services. Jr. High (The Edge) has services at 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. while High School (One) has their own service at 11:30 a.m. If you have children, we encourage you to arrive 30 minutes before the service so you’ll have plenty of time to check them into their rooms.

• How do I get there?
We’re located at 1500 N. Airport Road, Normal, Illinois. (Next to Normal Community High School). Click here for a map and driving directions.

• What do I wear?
You’ll find that we’re very casual (shorts, jeans, t-shirts, dresses). Dress however you’re comfortable.

• What about parking?
When you enter our campus, you’ll find our friendly parking team waiting to help you! Turn on your hazard lights to be directed to our reserved guest parking area for your first visit. You may also park at Normal Community High School. A buss will be available to offer you convenient door to door service.

• Where do I go once I arrive?
If you’re not sure where to go, you’ll find an information center on each level with a volunteer that will be happy to direct you. Feel free to stop by our Bread of Life Café for a donut and coffee before our services.

• Children’s Check-in:
We take caring for your children very seriously. We have a guest check-in on each level. Once you check-in, you will be given a number that will appear on the screen in the main auditorium if you are needed. The Guest Check-in team will help you find your child’s room. In order to save time, click here to print off the Guest Registration Form.
Note: If you choose to take your children into the service with you, we ask that you sit in the “Kid Corner” that is located on the lower level in the back on the right side of the auditorium. Behind this section is a cry room and an area for nursing mothers. This room is equipped with audio and monitors so that you may enjoy the service.

• Guest Reception- at the Cross:
Immediately following the service, we invite you to meet us at the cross in the auditorium. We would love the opportunity to meet you, answer any questions you may have, and direct you to your next step. Click here for more information about Esteps.

• Worship Service:
Our services last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. During that time you can expect: great music, relevant teaching from the Bible, communion (remembering the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross) and offering. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to take the juice and the bread. Please do not feel obligated to give during the offering time. This is a time for our regular attenders and members.

• No Expectations:
As a visitor, you will not be singled out in any way. You can remain completely anonymous if you choose- but we will look forward to meeting you when you’re ready!

Whoa! This place is BIG!
We’ve been said that we look more like an airport, shopping center, or our favorite, “Six Flags Jesus,” more than we look like a church! But, the main thing to know is that we’re just a bunch of people that are trying to figure out what it means to follow Jesus. We believe that you’ll find that once you go through Esteps, Join a Small Group, and Volunteer to Serve, this place will become one of the smallest churches you’ve ever attended.
